The Design

A FRESH & FUN PALETTE
The website has a very fresh colour palette: white, coral, sky blue and tones of rice paper for the background.
White is the perfect background - it is often associated with purity, cleanliness, freshness, and simplicity. We paired the clean white with a rice paper colour, which gives some softness and a paper-like feeling to the design.

We decided to pick a coral-red for the call to action buttons and iconography. We chose this colour for its versatility and freshness. It resembles the colour of the postage stamps and recalls the shape of the logo and the menu (shaped like a letter).

We paired the coral pink with its complementary colour: sky blue. This creates a sharp contrast and adds a calming yet elegant touch to the design. We aimed to create an energetic, playful and fun atmosphere throughout the design by using this palette.

AN HAND-WRITTEN TYPOGRAPHY
We decided to pick two different fonts, one with a hand-written feeling and one more mechanical. We wanted to create a very sharp contrast between the two typographies.
The hand-written font, Intro Script, was used to convey the sense of friendliness and has a handmade quality to it. While the other font, Roboto, conveys professionalism and friendliness.
